Use Microsoft Remote Desktop ( Macintosh or Windows vis MSTSC) or Teamviewerto remotely access a computer in the main office.Plug everything into the portable router. Take the router, printer and computer to the offsite location.Alternatively, you can use network addresses that are close (eg 192.168.1.x on your main lan and 192.168.0.x at the remote box office) and adjust the subnet mask to be something like 255.255.0.0.This will ensure the Printer can be used in both networks without having to alter it's IP address. if in the office the IP range is 192.168.0.x, then the IP addresses behind this portable router should be the same 192.168.0.x.Set an internal IP addresses of the portable router that is the SAME subnet range as the office network.
A portable router that can be taken to the offsite location will be needed.A portable router that supports NAT forwarding of the ticket printer port at the remote site.One possibility could be: TeamViewer, when connected, opens some ports, that are necessary to get the data, but subj problem doesn't repeat constantly (which it would, if there were closed ports) and there are no DataGet timeouts (which there would be, if it was a network issue).This setup assumes that your are connecting to you ticket server using Remote Desktop, Teamviewer or some other remote access program. How can this be, that TeamViewer unfreezes my processes? usually, workstation (or sometimes printer) restart fixes the issue - next printjob works fine.I have never witnessed this problem myself - on my workstations everything works fine, the only way, to get to the problematic workstations is through TeamViewer.the moment, when somebody connects to that workstation via TeamViewer, everything continues - all items in Printing Queue print out, loading bars continue, previews are shown etc.these problems are not consistent - they just come and go.when executing 'printing with preview', preview's loading bar (which waits for data get and FixedDocument creation) stops and preview doesn't show.when executing 'printing without preview', all documents just stack up in printing queue and do not print.However, there are some, that sometimes experience problems: printing doesn't work. On vast majority of workstations and printers this works just fine.
Or 'print with preview': displays it in DocumentViewer control and, on clicking 'Print', 'print without preview': sends it to print without a preview
